COSTUME DESIGN FOR "SOLIDARNÔSC/ SOLIDARISK (2020)"

"Solidarnôsc/ Solidarisk (2020)" was a transdisciplinary dance performance, that told the story of how one's identity is shaped by meeting new cultures and the prejudices that follow being a foreigner from Poland.
I was responsible for the costume design of the twenty-one dancers, in collaboration with the producers and with references from Norwegian and Polish folk dance costumes.
Through music composed by Katarzyna Maria Wieczorek, whose personal journey was the core content of the performance, and modern dance choreographed by Gunhild Løhre, artistic expressions merged with costume design and light to create a whole performance.
The performance was held on the 6th and 7th of November, 2020, at Rockheim (The National Museum of Popular Music), in Trondheim, Norway.
